Paul serves Gaskin Asset Management as the Senior Portfolio Manager and a Senior Financial Advisor. He has over 30 years of experience in financial services and has accumulated in-depth knowledge in tracking the individual holdings of our client portfolios through multiple market trends and economic conditions. His commitment to the disciplines and stated investment risk of each account makes him highly qualified for his role in portfolio management. As co-owner of Gaskin Asset Management, Paul strives to provide clients with high quality service, comprehensible financial advice and planning. His main focus is the creation, implementation and daily review of client holdings and investment strategies.
Paul graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in English and minor in communications, and is a proud alumnus of the university. He began his career in marketing and advertising before entering the financial services industry as a Financial Advisor with PaineWebber, Inc. in 1996. He holds the following licenses & registrations: Series 7 – General Securities Registered Representative, Series 65 – Investment Advisor Representative; Series 31 – Futures Managed Funds and Insurance – Life, Accident & Health – NC, AL, and FL.
Paul has been married to his wife and best friend, Lorie, since 1988. They have raised two daughters, Rachael and Anna. Rachael has her master’s degree in history and works at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Anna is a second-year student at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in the Physician’s Assistant (PA) program. Paul and Lorie live in Indian Trail, where they have raised their family, attend church and are active in their local community. In his personal time, Paul enjoys spending time with family and friends and is actively involved in “Charlotte Lit” where he enjoys refining his novice writing skills.
