How we manage cash flow tends to be a key factor in the success of our financial goals.  Our decisions around how we spend, save and invest are often equally as important as our asset management strategy.  In budgeting, we are working to gain awareness around these decisions and making sure that our actions are in line with our financial goals.

What to expect?

Bob and I will cover topics around spending, saving and investing.  We will discuss rules of thumb for retirement savings and key planning issues to cover at each life decade.  We will discuss savings “bucketing” strategies and how to set S.M.A.R.T financial goals.  In this workshop, we will work together through spending formulas, ratios and metrics to keep your spending and savings plan on track.  We will not address how to save on your light bill, but we will share some healthy financial habits you can start today to help improve cash flow!

Who is this for?

This workshop is designed for investors of all ages!  While budgeting often comes to mind for investors in their early years, it is arguably equally as important for investors in retirement or those looking to transition into retirement in the next 5-10 years.  Bob Gaskin and I will provide some advice on how we’ve seen success in the transition from work to retirement.

We will host the budgeting event at the Gaskin Asset Management office on Colony Road on Thursday, March 21st from 5-7pm.  Drinks will be provided.

*Space is limited.  If you are interested in attending this session, please RSVP by Monday, March 18th.*
